ALABASTER / 01 Artisan hand-finishing a translucent Spanish alabaster panel for a lighting fixture

THE ALABASTER PROCESS

Stone, shaped to hold light.

Each ARUNIUS piece begins with a considered selection of natural alabaster. We read the stone’s veining and translucency, then refine its surface by hand so warmth can travel through it with a quiet, even glow.

THE MATERIAL

01 / ALABASTER

Stone, illuminated from within.

Alabaster is valued for its natural translucency. When illuminated, its quiet veining comes forward and softens the light into a warm, layered glow.

No two pieces are exactly alike. Subtle variations in tone and pattern make every ARUNIUS fixture a singular object within the room.
